• Big Beaver Falls Area School District
    Title I Programs

This year, 2017 - 2018, the Big Beaver Falls Area School District is providing Title I services at all buildings in the school district (Big Beaver Elementary, Central Elementary, the Middle School and High School). At the elementary schools, the District operates a School-wide Title I Reading program. At the Middle School, School-wide Title I Reading and Math services are provided. In the High School Title I Target Assistance Math services are provided. The Federal Government under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 fund these programs. Under the School-wide program, elementary students, grades K through five, receive additional academic support in reading. This support is provided within the general education classrooms utilizing a team approach. At the BFMS, grades six through eight, the District operates a School-wide Title I Reading and Math after school tutoring program. In order to be eligible for the BFHS math Title I services, students must meet specific criteria, which was development by the BFHS math team. Currently, the District is in the process of applying for PDE’s approval to operate a School-wide Title I program in the BFHS for 2018 – 2019.

For more information about the District’s Title I programs, please contact your child’s building principal or the Director of Student Services at extension 1213.
